What to Include in a Website or App Project Brief

A useful project brief helps the development team estimate clearly and spot technical risks early.

A strong project brief describes the business goal, target users, required pages or features, integrations, content responsibilities, budget range, timeline, and success metrics.

If you already have a website, analytics, designs, or reference products, include those as links. If there is a legacy backend or database, mention the current stack and known pain points.

Good briefs do not need to be perfect. They simply need to create enough clarity for a focused discovery call and a realistic delivery plan.
